This is Black Onyx who won the Spiral Stakes at Turfway Park. This gave Black Onyx 50 points towards the Kentucky Derby. So you will probably see this horse at Churchill Downs in May.

Start of the 2013 Bourbonette Oaks at Turfway Park in Florence, Kentucky. I particularly like the horse at the end who is almost jumping out of the starting gate.

Photo of the Week: I really love that this tree’s leaves were red, yellow and green all at the same time. Fall is such a beautiful time in Kentucky. I also really like the sun shining through the leaves and the shape that it takes on.

Photo of the Week: This is one of my favorite photos that I took during the fall in Lexington, Kentucky. This tree was right outside of my house. I loved the vibrant yellow leaves with the red lines running through it. I just thought it was really neat.

Photo of the Week: I came out of work one day for lunch and noticed that these birds were coming and taking the red berries in the tree. I thought that it would make for a cool picture so I went and grabbed my camera. I waited for what seemed like forever until this little guy came and sat in the tree. I thought he looked really cool and I liked the red berries all around him.If anybody knows what kind of bird this is please tell me :)

Photo of the Week: I made this photo while hanging out at Woodland Park. This squirrel was super friendly and was just as interested in me as I was in him. He just hung upside looking at me for several minutes. I love the angle on this photo and how it turned out.

Photo of the Week: I was fortunate enough to be able to go out to photograph Kitten’s Joy exercising in his aqua treadmill at Ramsey Farm for the Breeders’ Cup Commemorative Magazine. This lake was directly behind the barn and I was able to capture this amazing sunrise picture. It is one of my favorites with the sun just breaking the horizon and the mist rising off of the lake.
